Register now online and in the office for Summer Music and Arts Camp! Plymouth’s first-ever summer music and arts camp happens June 22-25. The camp, inspired by Plymouth’s gifts in the fine arts, offers great opportunities to share with our larger Seattle community of children and families. Plymouth friends and members will teach, shepherd, welcome, prepare food, sing and play with forty-plus students who arrive at Plymouth Monday, June 22. Community Service and Social Action Board voted last month to donate $1,000 to a scholarship fund so students from Mary’s Place may attend for free. Thank you!
Through experiential classes in music, art and drama, students can discover and explore their own gifts and create dynamic, diverse worship to share with each other and the wider community. Classes include drumming, ukulele, art, worship leadership, handbells as well as xylophones and small percussion. Rap star Nimo Patel, brings his message of love and peace in a special concert at 3 pm, Tuesday, June 23! The week culminates in a late afternoon celebration worship experience, Thursday, June 25, followed by a spaghetti dinner for friends and family. Artwork will be displayed. Join us!
Volunteers are still needed. Let’s “light up the sky like countless stars” and together brighten the hearts of children and families who come through our doors June 22! Contact Rosemary Hashimoto: RHashimoto@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org.
