Recently, K-6th Sunday school invited special guests Harriet Naf and Miriam Breidenstein in conjunction with our conversations about gratefulness and sharing gifts. These talented women shared the work of their hands. Harriet Naf brought in two beautiful quilts and explained the quilters ministry. Miriam (90 years old) told the children she makes the activity bags they enjoy on Sundays and they applauded her.
Harriet and Miriam then led us in a quilting activity...quilting felt hearts. Seven adult helpers plus Harriet and Miriam joined us. Everyone completed a heart project and we decided to give the hearts to someone as an act of kindness...those who are ill, homebound, new members or visitors. Thanks to Harriet and Miriam for helping us create very special intergenerational time! –Rosemary HashimotoSubscribe
