I love my place in the Choir on Sunday mornings. Not only do I have wonderful view of the big cross with the large banners on each side, I also can look out and see all of you. I spend a portion each Sunday wondering what each of you does to help Plymouth. I know many of us step up and help as ushers, greeters, board members and assist with communion and the coffee hour. But there is a constant need to attract and recruit folks to the many volunteer opportunities at Plymouth.  Plymouth needs you!

We have several avenues for folks to volunteer:

Nominating Committee  Chair, Cory Maclay (  This committee will be working this fall to recruit members for our various boards, council and council officers. If you have always wanted to serve on the Adult Ed, Community Care, CSSA, or Children and Youth Boards here is your chance!

Church Council, Moderator, Jon Palmason (   the council has a number of committees and is always looking for volunteers.  They are:  Stewardship, Budget, Pastoral Relations, Property and Maintenance, Human Resources, Library, Investment, Finance, and Community Investment.  Contact Jon if you have an interest in serving on a committee.

Community and Care Board  Co-Chairs:  Susan MacRae  Connie Sandstrom  (  This important board is always in need of greeters, folks to help coffee hour and other various needs to organize events for the betterment of the Church. Please do not hesitate to contact them and give them some help.

Parish Nurse, June Hayakawa-Fung  (  June keeps our Companion Program present and strong. These are folks who have been trained to assist folks who visit our  church and need special companionship. You may have notice that when a visitor with special needs arrives, the Companion will greet and be sure the visit is safe and comfortable for all. This takes a person with patience and compassion. if you have an interest in knowing more about  this program, please give June a call (206.622.4865, ext. 17).

Thanks for listening and thanks for volunteering.
