One unique aspect church community offers us is weekly intergenerational experiences. It’s unique because for many, if not most of us, our daily life involves spending time with people at our own age and stage in life. Plymouth provides consistent opportunity to interact with 2, 3, 4 even 5 generations. And that can only happen when we offer a welcoming, safe place for the youngest in our midst. Our church school teachers have answered the call to be that welcoming, safe place for Plymouth children. And for this, we are all the richer.
A church community thrives when many generations share together in doing God's work here on earth; and the youngest generation may be the most important of all. Because of our teachers, leaders, helpers and holders, our young people know they are known here at Plymouth. Every Sunday, someone is excited to see them and learn about their week. They experience God's love weekly as these people guide them on a path of discovering their faith.
Please join me in thanking our teachers this Sunday, June 14. –Barbara Staley, Plymouth’s Children and Youth Board ChairSubscribe
