Bring a Vegetable on Sunday!

October 27, 2015

During November, kindergarten through 5th grade Sunday school classes will study the Bible story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. In the story, Jesus takes five loaves and two fish and feeds 5,000 hungry people. Can you imagine?!

In the spirit of this story and giving, children and teachers will make soup and muffins for all after church Sunday, November 22. Just as Jesus began with five loaves and two fishes, we will begin with vegetables you provide. We’ll chop and add to the broth and make soup….Stone Soup! Please join us and share in this symbolic meal.

Please bring any of the following vegetables this Sunday: carrot, onion, red potato, celery, red pepper, zucchini, yellow summer squash. Students will collect vegetables in the Lounge and at the first floor elevators Sunday morning, or drop them off at the office.
