Table Flipping: A Movement, Not a Moment

December 1, 2015

Last March, people of faith from many different congregations, including Plymouth Church, came together to do a confessional action at the offices of Howard S. Wright. We claimed our own complicit participation in allowing the criminal justice system in King County to disproportionately jail youth of color and called on Howard S. Wright to stop profiting of jailing youth.

Leaders in Ending the Prison Industrial Complex (EPIC) and Youth Undoing Institutional Racism (YUIR) have asked predominantly White faith communities to keep up the pressure on Howard S. Wright. Please join us for letter writing this Sunday in the lobby before or after church. -Jenn Hagedorn
