Mixing it up at 10 am

March 15, 2016

In response to the congregation’s varied needs and desires, the Adult Education Board decided to experiment with the format of 10 am Adult Forum. While many people appreciate the lecture format, others prefer to learn in a discussion-based setting. We also hear many say they would appreciate the opportunity to get to know others in the Plymouth community on Sunday mornings, which is impossible in a lecture format.

Our experiment began with the last two Sundays, which focused on Eric Elnes’ book Gifts of the Dark Wood and incorporated discussion groups. Sunday, March 20, share coffee and conversation in the Lounge. This informal hour offers time to connect with one another; conversation suggestions on the tables may help spark conversations. Easter Sunday, March 27, 10 am Adult Education takes a hiatus.

Schedule for the 10 am hour, post-Easter through the end of the program year, is in process and will be published soon. All are invited to participate in the variety of learning and faith-building experiences available in the weeks to come. –Jennifer Castle
