News from Sylvia Odom's Place

April 26, 2016

Plymouth Housing Group Community Engagement Coordinator Meghan Rowley, shares an update for Sylvia Odom’s Place in Belltown. First, the grill is up and running on the rooftop garden and the staff held a BBQ for all the Sylvia tenants last week in the sunny weather.

Also, in honor of Sylvia, they are starting a volunteer group with residents at Sylvia Odom’s Place. “Last week I met with a few eager residents of the building to talk about what kind of service and volunteer work we can do to help support the community. We came up with some great ideas and the first item on our agenda is to volunteer this Saturday at a neighborhood cleanup event…I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to help encourage and mobilize residents of Sylvia Odom’s Place to give back to the community and get involved with service work.”
