Forum May 8: Leadership through the Eyes of a Young African Woman

May 3, 2016

Dami Apena is completing a Masters in Environment and Community at Antioch University Seattle. Her experiences, from the safety patrols her family organized in their Lagos neighborhood to her work in projects in rural Nigeria, helped shape her as a leader. For her Capstone Project (final project), she brought together a group of African women, who currently live in Seattle, as a “think tank” to reflect on their experiences in the U.S. They developed strategies to support one other when they return to Africa as leaders. Please join us 10 am Sunday, May 8, in Hildebrand Hall.
