We are experiencing a big and wonderful month here at Plymouth Healing Communities! In partnership with Welcome Table Christian Fellowship, a local Seattle congregation, we saw three people move into their brand new and beautiful apartments known as The Grace Apartments. We're particularly excited for this partnership as we love to see churches investing in the homeless and housing crisis and caring for people living with disabilities, as Plymouth Church has so wonderfully exemplified through the years!
The vision for the Grace Apartments has been 10 years in the making for Welcome Table Christian Fellowship. They bought land for a new sanctuary and created a plan where their new site would have three gorgeous apartments on the grounds for people who are homeless and living with a chronic mental illness. The apartments are supported through shelter, plus care vouchers provided through our partner, Harborview Mental Health. PHC will provide property management and companionship services. Those who live in the apartments will have the experience of living independently in the vibrant Beacon Hill community, a community they would otherwise be priced out of! They named the apartments Grace and it truly is a picture of grace. The church organized move-in supplies including fully furnishing the apartments. Welcome Table has truly lived up to their name by welcoming people permanently home!
Please join us this Sunday, September 11, at PHC's Annual Luncheon where we will celebrate this accomplishment and 15 years of partnership with Plymouth Church. Tony Robinson will be our keynote speaker! Hope to see you there. –Hillary Evans, PHC ExecutiveSubscribe
