How can our congregations build and strengthen a safer and more welcoming community for all who enter our doors? Join a free workshop Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 am to 2 pm, at University Congregational UCC, 4515 16th Ave NE, Seattle, WA, and explore the intersection of gender, ethnicity, family, age, faith and more. Learn about the model of holistic sexuality used by UCC churches in the Our Whole Lives program, and how it affects congregants each and every week. Explore a values framework with which to deal with challenging situations and discover types of questions folks ask and response strategies. Workshop is led by Rev. Mike Schuenemeyer, UCC Executive for Health and Wholeness Advocacy & Executive Director, UCAN and Amy Johnson, UCC Our Whole Lives Coordinator & Candidate for Commissioned Ministry in Sexuality Education.
