Plymouth member, avid hiker, historian and author Judy Bentley reads from her latest book: Walking Washington’s History: Ten Cities, during the 10 am Faith and Life hour, Sunday, November 27, in Hildebrand Hall. Judy illustrates her talk with slides and signed books will be available for purchase - just in time for holiday gifts.
Walking Washington’s History: Ten Cities features walks that tell ten stories from Washington’s urban history. Each chapter reveals a moment of historical significance for a major Washington city: Vancouver, Olympia, Walla Walla, Tacoma, Seattle, Everett, Bellingham, Yakima, Spokane and Bellevue. The walks follow sidewalks, trails and waterfronts to sites of both well-known and little-known history.
Plymouth Library is currently displaying books on Washington travel and history, including Walking Washington’s History: Ten Cities and Judy's earlier title, Hiking Washington's History. Read more about Judy and her prolific writing career at JudyBentley.com. –Suzanne Sanderson, Plymouth Librarian
