Concert Benefits Village of Hope

November 15, 2016

Plymouth is proud to present Deux Voix – the Houston-based Trumpet & Organ Duo that is rapidly becoming one of the rising stars in the concert world! Organist Steve Distad and trumpeter Justin Langham are in demand not only because of their incredible virtuosity, but also due to their creative and diverse programming. They are constantly adapting works from other genres and instrumentations such as jazz, Broadway, and current popular music, and they have commissioned new works by well-known American composers. Their concert at Plymouth will feature Gabriel’s Oboe” by Ennio Morricone, music from Gustav Holst’s The Planets, the theme song from the James Bond film “Spectre,” selections from American songwriters (Sinatra, etc.), as well as traditional repertoire by J.S. Bach and Dietrich Buxtehude.

Here’s what others have to say about these wonderful musicians:

“Their program displayed flawless virtuoso technique and
a program chosen for the eclectic audience.”

“Deux Voix is musical synergy. Two talented instrumentalists join to
create unique performances that are widely entertaining
yet display exceptional technical skill and artistry!”

“Their musical selections, arrangements, and performances draw in people of all ages in the most unique of ways... Audiences leave every concert feeling uplifted and privileged to have heard them in person."
