Walking by the shore of Lake Flora as ripples sparkle in the sun, dining on chili prepared by men of the silent retreat, savoring the quiet of an unplanned Saturday afternoon, diving into deep discussions with other men in our faith community – these are among the many reasons dozens and dozens of Plymouth men participate in Plymouth Men’s Retreat.
This year, we welcome Lloyd Robinson as our guide. Lloyd, an experienced corporate leader and mediation expert, leads us in considering how we as men relate to conflict, bearing in mind the words of Jesus: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”
As in the past, in addition to the main retreat, we offer an optional one-day silent retreat. The silent retreat begins the evening of Thursday, February 23. The main retreat begins evening of Friday, February 24, ending with lunch Sunday, February 26. Costs are: silent retreat only, $77 ($72 for ages 62+); both silent and main retreat, $183 ($168 for ages 62+); main retreat only, $124 ($114 for ages 62+).
The Men’s Retreat doesn’t involve a secret handshake or weird initiation rituals, but relationships are deepened and those who participate return home refreshed, energized and inspired. Register at 10 am and 12:15 pm, every Sunday, at the Welcome kiosk, through February 19, or click here.
