Build a House, Create Community

March 28, 2017

Preaching at the 11 am service this Sunday, Bob Turner has served as a Presbyterian Church pastor and fundraiser. He led the 2016 Plymouth Guatemala team to help build a house, outhouses and smokeless adobe stoves near Lake Atitlan. Bob has now travelled to Guatemala four times working on Habitat for Humanity projects.

The 2017 Guatemala Team, led by Ken and Jeanette Hagen, built five outhouses, one adobe stove, plus for future use, a reinforced concrete outhouse base and 85 adobe bricks. To date 23 Plymouth Church members have visited Guatemala to work with Habitat for Humanity.

During the 10 am brunch in the Lounge, see videos of Guatemalan school children playing marimbas, ‘the Guatemalan national instrument,’ and many photos of life and our work in Guatemala.
