Change Grant deadline is June 30
Plymouth Community Service and Social Action Board (CSSA) will award a three-year, $105,000 Change Grant to a non-profit organization operating in the Greater Seattle Area that addresses social justice issues through direct service or social action; an organization lifting up people who live on the margins due to poverty and racism.
We at Plymouth believe we are called by God to put our faith into action and partner with others to create a more just society. Through this Change Grant partnership, we hope the recipient organization will experience a dramatic change in what it is able to do and be for its constituents. We also hope that you, members and friends of Plymouth Church, will have opportunities to form deep relationships and stand with grant recipient organization in times of service and advocacy, conversation and celebration.
This is the fifth Plymouth Church Change Grant opportunity offered in the last six years. Previous change grants were awarded to Casa Latina, Mary’s Place, Recovery Café and Village of Hope. These collaborations have created many deep and lasting relationships and helped move the organizations forward in their mission.
“Plymouth's Change Grant was the investment we needed to share our community of loving accountability with groups across the United States looking for a way to respond to the addiction epidemic in their cities and towns. We used the grant to document our program and launch the Recovery Cafe Network as the tool to nurture groups starting Recovery Cafes. The Plymouth Change Grant was the boost we needed to promote our model as a loving supportive response to those women and men struggling with homelessness, addiction and other mental health challenges,” said Rick Crawford, Associate Director of Resource Development.
Change Grant Instructions and Application are available now.
