Meet J Wong

May 23, 2017

“I answered God’s call to be a Bible Translator, for training in Seattle, post graduate studies: teaching (K-12), languages (11), law (social justice), choral conducting and vocal performance, Christian theology, sports and descriptive linguistics.” J Wong has lived in China, England, Canada and United States. He chose multiple professions to exercise all the gifts God gave him. “I do what I love - pragmatically to pay my bills. I live to praise and glorify God. No profession defines me. Faith community is family, beside practicing mindful awareness.”

J’s interest in keeping balance ‘indulges’ him in swimming, skiing, snowboarding and kayaking. “Church life has always been an important part of me; so is social justice and work. I love people and enjoy being with people.”

J invites anyone to visit with him any time, “Truly, open and affirming, in truth, deed and word, grant me the purpose of church life at Plymouth UCC, where I seek to bring glory to God for all that I am as my one single passion in life.”
