In keeping with Plymouth’s current worship series, “Children of Abraham,” you are invited to a special performance of the Messa da Requiem, by Giuseppe Verdi. Often called the Requiem of Resistance, Verdi’s amazing work was memorized and performed by Jewish prisoners in the Terezin Nazi concentration camp. This stirring music will honor the strength of the human spirit and the power of music to keep that spirit alive during the darkest times.
The Seattle Peace Chorus is honored to perform this work, accompanied by orchestra and four magnificent Seattle soloists, 7:30 pm Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4 at University Congregational Church. Come early at 6:30 for a pre-concert talk. Tickets are $25 at the door, $20 in advance, $18 for seniors, students, and special needs, through brownpapertickets.com.Subscribe
