Bill moved to Seattle October 11, 2016 after getting engaged to Steve Davis. The newlyweds currently live on First Hill overlooking Freeway Park.
Bill attended Baylor University in Waco, TX and started working in broadcasting at age 16 for KWTX-FM. He moved from radio to television and worked with the chief meteorologist producing weather graphics for evening broadcasts at WFAA-TV, Dallas. Bill lived in San Francisco for one year doing freelance work before accepting a position in St. Paul, MN with a weather graphics software company designing marketing videos.
In 2009, he returned to Texas to be closer to family and worked in Waco as Creative Services Manager for KWKT FOX44. He wrote scripts, shot video, designed graphics and animation, did voice-overs, edited commercials and produced a live, weekly Friday night high school football program.
“I am inspired by creative people and love collaborating on projects. I have a passion for photography which I inherited from my dad, who chronicled our family events, trips and vacations on 35mm slides. He gave me one of his film cameras when I was in high school so I could be a photographer on the yearbook staff.”
“My first reaction to Plymouth was seeing (and hearing) the Sanctuary. My mind immediately went to how could I share the message coming from within this space using my video production background. I have imagined myself directing a weekly hour of Plymouth services for streaming to members anywhere who cannot attend in person. I haven't shared this idea yet with many people, but hope this is a good opportunity to put the idea out there for real consideration!” Welcome Bill!
