Plymouth Community Service and Social Action Board humbly thank all who contributed to the World-wide Communion Special offering Sunday, October 1. Thanks to you, we are off to a great start, receiving just shy of $2,800.00 in the offering plate to be evenly divided between KIND and Neighbors in Need. Plymouth UCC will continue to receive gifts toward the World Communion special offering through October.
KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) Seattle office serves all of Washington, providing legal services in immigration courts to children entering alone into the immigration system. KIND works to advance these children’s best interests, safety and well-being.
Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry(CAIM). Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries(JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts and direct service projects through grants.
