Students Learn about Refugees

October 17, 2017

Sunday morning, October 8, Graham Matthews and Solomon September went with 5th grade Sunday School teacher, Mary September, to the Doctors Without Borders, Forced From Home exhibit. After reading Matthew 25,“…Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” they learned about the plight of the nearing 66,000,000 people who have fled their homes worldwide. The Canadian doctor who led their tour was impressed by their knowledge, their questions, and how maturely they engaged in such an intense subject.

To top off a great morning, the intrepid threesome took a boat ride at the Center For Wooden Boats (and marveled that comparatively, if they were refugees, their boat would have been holding 250-300 people!)

The Forced From Home tour continue. Spread the word!
