I'm All In!

October 24, 2017

When asked to speak about stewardship and why, Eileen Gibbons had a lot to say...

"I need to be spiritually led by a woman, and the fact that Kelle is a Person of Color, a beautiful singer and fearless.,she doesn't mince words, and that is the icing on the cake. The cherry on top is our other minister Steve. He is super-supportive of women's issues (carried the Plymouth Banner for the entire Women's March), available, approachable, friendly, welcoming, gay and proud of it! He lit up the church with the most beautiful rainbow for Pride month and I couldn't be prouder of our spiritual leaders in “our little church that could” in downtown Seattle.

Favorite things: Plymouth Housing Group, transitional housing for mentally ill patients being discharged, Family Camp in Idaho and Women/Men/Youth Retreats at Pilgrim Firs, children's programs AT church including intergenerational activities, welcoming homeless to join our services and brunches, tackling social injustices, singing and marching and welcoming other faiths to use our space for prayer and meetings.

And they'll know we are Christians by our Love, by our Love, yes, they'll know we are Christians by our love (of Black, Brown, Muslim, Jew, Gay, straight, homeless or housed). –Eileen Gibbons
