Plymouth men, I invite you to attend the Men’s Retreat, Friday, March 2 to Sunday, March 4. The optional silent retreat, an excellent way to ease into the retreat, begins Thursday evening.
The retreat, for me, provides a great opportunity to connect with men I know, as well as men new to Plymouth or the retreat. I found that showing up is the most important element for me. From there, the large and small group discussions, and the care and sharing with each other evolves naturally. Pilgrim Firs provides wonderful, sacred ground for these connections to occur.
I also encourage men to participate in the silent day. As with the retreat, there is no right way to be silent, meditate or think. Instead, the invitation is to reflect as you desire and allow yourself to be mindful of your spirit. I find it amazing that even though we are silent, the intentional aspect of being together creates a unique, powerful expression of community.
Please join us. I view it not so much as a retreat, but as an arrival. The journey awaits. – Don Castle
