Delegation Leaves for Guatemala

January 30, 2018

Friday, February 9, a delegation of Plymouth folks travels to Guatemala to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Led by Greg Anacker and Susan Dittig, the delegation includes 9 Plymouth members, (including Director of Faith Formation Jennifer Castle), two University UCC members and Greg’s sister Sue, from Minnesota.

The delegation’s home base will be San Lucas Tolimán, a city of about 17,000. Work projects include house construction, building smokeless stoves, installing sanitary latrines and water filtration systems. The delegation will meet with San Lucas Tolimán scholars, many of whom are sponsored by people on the delegation or participated in previous delegations to Guatemala. The group will also visit San Juan and Antigua before returning home February 20.

Please attend the 11 am service this Sunday, February 4, for the commissioning of the delegation.
