During Lent, meet in neighborhood groups for four sessions to discuss the book Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson. Writing from his personal experiences representing poor people, people of color, women and children incarcerated on death row or sentenced to die in prison, Stevenson makes a powerful case that the opposite of poverty is not wealth, but justice. Discuss the book and how we relate and respond as people of faith.
Groups start last week of February or first week of March, depending on group leader. A group meets at church after 11 am service, February 25. Books available for $10 this Sunday. To join a group, please contact JCastle@PlymouthChurchSeattle.org.
