Now is a critical juncture for our church, with new ministers called, a new Council in place and a shared, compelling desire to clarify and live out a new vision for living out our faith. The annual Plymouth Leadership Retreat is planned from 9 am to 1 pm, Saturday, March 10, in Hildebrand. We plan an action-packed morning featuring an overview of where we’ve been (including reexamination of our Action Plan); our pastors will share their vision of where Plymouth is going, and plenty of focused discussions among our boards will take place about how we best align with this vision. What we hear and learn from these discussions informs our plans for 2018, the next few years and into the future.
We ask that our Plymouth leaders stretch themselves and extend that invitation to staff and members of our congregation. We need to challenge ourselves. With focus, we can accomplish a lot, and the key word is ‘accomplish.’ There are many things we want to do. And the things we want to do need to align with our Pastors’ vision. As we move forward, we need to make things happen. This will not always be easy; communication between Council, committees and staff is critical. We will be transparent, and the time for change is now. – Lorelie Kaid, Moderator & Bing Tso, Vice ModeratorSubscribe
