Something New for Fifth Sundays

September 24, 2019

We are trying something new this year — on each of the fifth Sundays of the month, worship will be centered around music and readings, similar to services known as “Lessons and Carols” that are often presented around Christmas. Our first Fifth Sunday is coming up — September 29. Our featured musician will be Erin Jorgensen who will perform several selections on her marimba. In addition, our own Plymouth Ringers and Plymouth Chancel Choir will share music that morning.

Erin Jorgensen is a Seattle-based marimba player and musician whose interests range from Bach to electronica to movie soundtracks to pop covers. Her all-ages series Bach & Pancakes was named "the year's most charming chamber music concerts" by the Seattle Weekly. In addition to performing she has produced and designed a series of new-music concerts in Seattle at locales including Washington Hall and On the Boards featuring composers including Arvo Part and Steve Reich. Keep up to date with projects, listen, and learn more at
