Seattle author and pianist share the spotlight

All are invited to SPARK! a free noontime talk and music event Thursday, November 5, in Plymouth Church Sanctuary. Featuring award-winning author and theatre veteran Stephanie Kallos and internationally known jazz pianist Deems Tsutakawa, SPARK! is a free monthly event hosted by Plymouth Church, designed to inspire and uplift the spirit.

Fiction writer Kallos will share ‘the story behind the story’ in her recently released book Language Arts about a father and teacher who is forced to reflect on his life decisions and the unlikely individuals who provide insight and guidance along the way. “Language arts is an affecting tale of love, loss, and language —  its powers and its perils.”

Tsutakawa brings his grace and virtuosity to the piano before, during and after the talk, facilitated by Rev. Brigitta Remole. Bring your lunch and feed your spirit from noon to 12:40 pm.

Noon, Thursday, December 3 Author of Flipped (read more about Doug and his book here) Doug Pagitt, explores the provocative truth that changes everything we know about God; with Heatherlyn Music.
