What Do We Do?

June 2, 2020

If COVID has taught us anything, it is how detrimental it can be not to be prepared for an emergency. Now, during these times of seeking justice, Plymouth is asking for all hands on deck. Please begin to collect supplies for future use. We are looking for all the things COVID has placed on short supply: masks, medical supplies, water, emergency/non-perishable food, disinfectant, and other supplies pertinent to emergency situations.

We are in the process of figuring out what action plan will be the most beneficial. We may bring the supplies to the church and/or we may disperse them to more accessible areas around the city. For right now, we just need to start pooling our resources.

In addition to tangible items, we are in the process of building a phone tree to further support our community. Included in this is the collection of information and resources about our members. Who do you know in city government? Who are influential community/corporate leaders with whom you have relationship? Who has an extra living/storage space? Who has landlines? Who are doctors and lawyers for those in need? Who can we call? What other gifts can we bring to the table?

We will be in touch regarding the details for how to move forward. For now, and if you are able, please start collecting these items immediately. In Christ’s name we love and serve,

The Plymouth Staff
